I am Rose Mclaughlin, artist, mother of 2 daughters, partner, stepmother to 2 sons, sales executive, yoga instructor and Reiki practitioner.

I was born and raised in rural Alberta, I traveled and moved within Alberta and B.C. I have settled in Edmonton, Alberta for the past 15 years.
My oldest daughter lost her first baby in her fifth month of pregnancy. She named her Jelaci Jemini and she was my first grandchild. The following year, this same daughter had to have her uterus removed due to an AV malformation (possibly caused by complications arising from the pregnancy) she will be unable to have another child and is looking to adopt.
While I was in waiting rooms through these difficult times, I became inspired to recreate the beauty of glass and light in watercolor. “Apple Brandy” was my first of a series.
In honor of my grand daughter, my daughter and all that we went through,
I chose to incorporate Jelaci in the website name.
It is my intention that through the sale of my artwork I will be able to further research and development in the areas of AV malformation and practices, which could save the lives of other unborn babies.
A portion of each sale will be donated to this endeavor.
